Capital Stable Pool Unit Price
What is a unit price and how does it work?
When you invest in one of the MAP investment pools, we allocate a number of units to indicate your share of the pool. As the market value of the pool’s assets moves, the value of each unit (and thus the value of your share of the pool) moves proportionately. The unit price for each of the pools is different.
When does the value of a unit change?
Each week, we revalue the assets of the Fund and calculate a new unit price for each investment pool.
When does the number of units I have change?
The number of units you have changes each time you make a contribution, withdrawal, or investment switch. Administration fees are charged by deducting units from your account and, for members who are investing pension monies, the pension payments and tax adjustment also alters the number of units.
Fund Returns
Changes in unit prices give some indication of movements in value of the underlying pool investments, but, because they do not incorporate administration fees and pension tax adjustments, they are not an accurate indication of the net return on your account. Past performance should not be relied upon as an indication of future returns. The actual returns will be determined by the investment strategy adopted and prevailing market conditions.
